The G2 Soft Phone is our custom soft phone designed for computer users with a reliable internet connection to call anywhere in the world through the G2 network. The G2 Soft Phone is perfect for anyone who is currently overseas, on business, or anyone who uses their computer for communications The G2 Soft Phone is easy to use and offers end users the ability to manage and modify their account at any time.

How The Soft Phone Works

Important: In order to use G2's Soft Phone you must have the following:

A. A computer with a reliable and strong internet connection.

B. A comfortable headset with microphone. G2 suggests using headsets that have 2 (two) jacks - one audio and one mic - for the best sound quality and communications.

C. A registered account with G2 Global Communications and at least $10 of funds in your account.

G2's Custom Soft Phone
1. For all PC users, you must first download G2's Soft Phone by clicking on this link - Download Phone Here.

2. You will be prompted by a File Download - Security Warning window asking you if you would like to, "run or save this file." Select the save option, and the file will begin automatically downloading to the area you selected. For ease of installation we suggest saving the file on your desktop.

3. Once the file is completely downloaded to your desktop, double click the icon and run the installer program. Once installed, a G2 phone icon will appear on your desktop, or the file folder or area you selected.

4. Double click the G2 Soft Phone icon and the soft phone will launch. Once loaded, the system will ask for your user ID and password. The user name and password were supplied to you when you first registered, and are also available to you once you are logged into your account.

5. When the proper username and ID are entered, the phone will automatically register itself with the G2 system and may begin calling. The information you provided will be stored in the phone and will no longer be necessary for input each time the phone is launched.

6. To place a U.S. calls, enter "1 + area code + phone number". For international calls, enter "country code + phone number."

Helpful Tip:
For low bandwidth areas, you may select the low bandwidth setting in the Soft Phone's "config option" to fix any bandwidth issues you may be experiencing with your local ISP.
